my first acid trip

Dyeing wool that is! i chose chartreuse, turquoise, and brown. its in the pot now i can't wait to see what happens! i used my own hand spun mill ends, one of my first attempts at spinning. honestly i was kinda scared. i am hoping it doesn't turn into one big brown felted mess, if it does i guess it will be a good learning experience anyway. i will try to post pics as soon as i find my USB cable for my camera. who knows maybe i will even post a tutorial. either way this is the one that i used http://fiberfervor.wordpress.com/2009/10/28/kettle-dyeing-yarn-tutorial/

delicious artichoke dip

This has to quite possibly be the easiest recipe in the world. it is by no means low fat, but that is probably makes it so good. so without further wait

quick and simple artichoke dip
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 can of artichoke hearts

preheat oven to 375*
quarter half of the artichokes, cut the leaves off the other half, and quarter the hearts.
mix with Parmesan and mayo, put in a pie dish. bake at 375* for 15-20 minutes or until top is golden brown.

Another month has flown by

i can't believe its already been a month! i finished a pair of fetching on some beautiful hand spun from Cajun Fiber Co. cast on the Riverstone sweater for Izi, then ripped the first sleeve all the way out because i obviously don't know how to read a pattern, started the riverstone again, started the Knotty but Nice hat from Knitty.com for Josh. spun 8oz of merino/tussah for a gift to the owner of my LYS (Wool Away) this woman rocks, she started my fiber addiction. spun up about 2oz of a %100 wool roving. i got my skirty pattern published to Ravelry too. check it out http://www.jimmybeanswool.com/knitting/yarn/LornasLaces/ShepherdWorsted.asp?specPCVID=912&advSourceID=9
my new apartment still looks unlived in. this single mom life isn't all its cracked up to be. we actually don't spend much time there. its kinda lonely not knowing anyone of the adult persuasion. guess thats how i managed to get so much done lol.
